Question/Problem: I cannot login to the IMail Premium AV Web Interface, my password does not seem to work.<br>

Answer/Solution: Steps follow to reset the administrator password.<br>
<br>
1.) From the Services control panel, stop the Symantec AntiVirus Scan Engine service.<br>
<br>
2.) Open the AV configuration file (usually C:\Program Files\Symantec\Scan Engine\symcscan.cfg) in WordPad (Notepad may not display the UTF-8 encoding correctly).<br>
<br>
3.) Remove the data to the right of the equals sign (=) on the "AdminBindAddress=" and "AdminPassword=" lines.<br>
<br>
4.) Save the file in Text-Only format.<br>
<br>
5.) Restart the Symantec AntiVirus Scan Engine service.<br>
<br>
6.) From the server, open a browser and browse to <a target=_blank href=http://localhost:8004>http://localhost:8004</a> (if the "AdminPort=" line in the configuration file is not the 8004 default, use the specified port from the configuration file here).<br>

7.) Leave the Password field blank and click 'Log on'.<br>
<br>
8.) Click the 'Configuration' button and then select the 'Admin' tab.<br>
<br>
9.) Enter your new password in the 'Administrator password' section, and then click 'Confirm Changes' and 'Restart'.<br>
<br>
Tip: If you want to access the webpage from another computer, you can enter one of the AV server's IP addresses into the 'AdminBindAddress=' field. Then, from any computer that has access to that IP and port, you can connect. The IP address you enter here must be a valid IP address on the AV server.<br><br>
