如果在 DNS 中已发布 SSP（发件人签名实践）记录，则应注意以下更改事项。如果尚未在 DNS 中发布 SSP 记录，则可跳过此部分。
为了与 ADSP 定稿相符，需要进行一些更改。
(a) 首先，协议名称从 SSP（发件人签名实践）更改为 ADSP（作者域签名实践）。摒弃了术语 "SSP" 而代之以新的 ADSP。
(b) 其次，DNS 中放置 ADSP 记录的位置已从 _ssp._domainkey.<domain> 更改为 _adsp._domainkey.<domain>。DNS 中原先的 _ssp._domainkey.<domain> 项可被删除（或遗留在原地达数月以供原有软件使用，然后再删除掉）。
(c) 最后，ADSP 记录句法不同于原先的 SSP 记录句法，因此需要将 ADSP 记录更改为以下格式（完整信息，请参见 ADSP 草案）：
dkim=unknown - 域可为某些或所有邮件签名
dkim=all - 为来自域的所有邮件签名
dkim=discardable - 为来自域的所有邮件签名，并促使收件人丢弃未签名的邮件
MDaemon 不再支持原先的 SSP 记录句法或在 DNS 中的位置。
请注意：此处所述内容适用于 SSP 或 ADSP，但不适用于 DKIM 密钥记录。DKIM 密钥记录不需要进行任何更改。
o 更改 ComAgent 从 \Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\ComAgent 获取设置和日志。此更改导致某些用户 ComAgent 定制设置被重置为默认值。
o 向账户配额默认用户界面添加“立即应用配额到所有账户”按钮。这将为所有账户应用所有默认配额设置（包括启用/禁用配额限制）。

o 向垃圾邮件过滤器用户界面添加了“重启垃圾邮件过滤器”。该按钮重启 MDSpamD.exe。然而，在该对话框上单击确定也有同样的效用。
o 带宽节流在用户界面中现有总开/关选项。
o 现可使用用户界面输入 "ALL_USERS:<domain>" 作为列表成员。这与单独添加每个域账户有同样的效果，但可在一个条目中完成所有添加。
o 动态屏蔽现有一选项可限制来自单个 IP 的并发连接数（只适用于 SMTP、POP 和 IMAP）。
o 网关在用户界面中有单独的开/关选项。请注意：禁用网关将导致其邮件被视作未知域的其他邮件。此外，禁用网关时用户界面不会禁用所有控件。因而即使网关被禁用，您仍可继续配置该网关。
o 现可为灰名单配置 SMTP 响应字符串。为此在用户界面中有一新控件。如果提供定制文本，MDaemon 将返回“451 <定制文本>”而不是默认的“451 灰名单已启用，在 X 分钟后重试”。如果想要提供包含灰名单说明 URL 的字符串（或出于任何其他目的），该控件会很有用。
o 向账户管理器添加了“清除列表”按钮。按下该按钮将从所有邮件列表中删除所有选定账户。
o 添加了一个 HELO/EHLO 查询选项，以豁免经验证的会话。启用时，它会延迟 HELO/EHLO 查询直到收到 MAIL 命令，这类似于原先版本中 PTR 查询的情形。
o 向工具窗口和统计报告中添加了 SMTP 会话入站/出站计数器。它们将追踪 SMTP 入站/出站会话总数，以便向您展示服务器的幕后工作量（例如，大多数入站 SMTP 会话最终将被挂断或无法投递任何邮件，因为它们只是在探测您的状态）。
o 垃圾邮件过滤器的“白名单（无过滤）”功能现可配置为将发件人以及收件人列入白名单。要将发件人列入白名单，只需在地址前缀以 "from "（例如，"from arvel@altn.com"）。
o 当通过用户界面禁用账户时，MultiPOP 收集将被禁用。请注意：现有禁用账户仍会收集 MultiPOP 邮件，直到使用用户界面来编辑该账户。此外，在账户编辑器首页中添加了一个 MultiPOP 开/关选项。
o 编辑单个账户并为该账户启用 MultiPOP 时，不再自动启用 MultiPOP 服务器。任何账户收集 MultiPOP 邮件之前，必须单独启用 MultiPOP 服务器。

o 对列表编辑器起始页作了些许 UI 改进（我以为的）。
o 打开 IMAP 收件箱文件夹时会触发动态 MultiPOP。
o 添加了 MDaemon.ini 参数，以解决从 Palm Treo VersaMail 客户端发送邮件的问题。编辑 MDaemon.ini 并设置
DeliverIfConnectionAborts=Yes (default is No)
